Confessionals
A private space for confession, examination, and prayer.
Across the Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant traditions.
Coming to iOS · Spring 2026

Three traditions
One companion, your tradition.
Choose your tradition during onboarding and the experience adjusts — vocabulary, AI persona, theological framing, and structure of examination.
Catholic
Franciscan-style spiritual direction grounded in the Catechism. Suggested penance after sessions. NABRE and RSV-CE translations.
Orthodox
Spiritual-father voice rooted in the patristic tradition. Examination structured around the Jesus Prayer, the eight passions, and the Beatitudes.
Protestant
Pastoral voice in the evangelical or Reformed register. Spiritual guidance instead of penance. Denomination-aware across major traditions.
In the app
A quiet place for the interior life.
Examination of conscience
Walk through your conscience, gently.
Over seventy questions per tradition, drawn from the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the works of mercy. Move at your own pace; nothing is sent until you choose.
The companion
Honest conversation. No judgment.
A thoughtful AI companion that listens, asks gentle follow-ups, and offers scripture, reflection, and — in Catholic mode — suggested penance.
Prayer
Words for the moments you can't find them.
Generate prayers in your tradition's voice — morning intercession, evening examen, thanksgiving, prayer for difficult relationships. Save the ones that move you.
Records
Locked behind your face.
Confession history locked behind Face ID or Touch ID. Mark sessions as confessed to a priest, and they leave the device.

Privacy first
Your confession never leaves your device.
We don't store the words you write or speak. There is no cloud backup of your sessions, no analytics on what you say, no training of AI models on your private moments.
Confession data is encrypted on your device with hardware-backed AES-256 and stays there.
Asked often
The short version.
- Is my confession data shared with anyone?
- No. Confession session text is never stored on our servers. It is processed transiently by our AI provider (Anthropic), then lives only on your device. Read the privacy policy for the complete picture.
- Is the AI a substitute for confession with a priest?
- No. The AI is a companion, not a priest. In Catholic teaching, valid sacramental confession requires a validly ordained priest. Use Confessionals to prepare for the sacrament or to keep a quiet habit of self-reflection — but please go to confession with a real priest.
- When will Android be available?
- iOS launches first. Android is on the roadmap for later in 2026. Sign up below to be notified.
